This module provides an integrated overview of the key leadership and management domains that shape the effective delivery of healthcare services. It considers how healthcare leaders operate within complex and rapidly changing environments, balancing organisational priorities with patient needs, workforce expectations and available resources. Through practical scenarios, learners will explore how effective leadership, strategic decision-making, resource management and workforce planning contribute to organisational performance. The module also considers the importance of quality improvement, patient safety, governance and ethical practice, while highlighting the role of effective communication, stakeholder engagement and interprofessional collaboration in achieving sustainable improvements in healthcare outcomes.
