WASD has a long and distinguished history of promoting sustainable development (SD) through research, policy engagement, capacity building, and international collaboration. Over the years, WASD has developed into a trusted consultancy provider, supporting institutions, governments, and organisations in addressing complex global challenges. Through its specialist institute (LISD), WASD offers expert consultancy services to strengthen Public Health systems and improve health outcomes across communities and nations. Public Health is more important than ever in today’s interconnected and rapidly changing world. Rising health inequalities, emerging diseases, ageing populations, climate-related health risks, and pressure on healthcare systems require stronger, more resilient public health strategies. Effective public health systems are essential for protecting populations, improving quality of life, and supporting sustainable social and economic development. Investing in Public Health enables countries and organisations to prevent disease, promote wellbeing, strengthen health security, and reduce long-term healthcare costs. It also enhances workforce productivity, social stability, and national resilience, making it a critical pillar of SD and public policy. Through our consultancy, WASD and LISD support countries and organisations in developing public health strategies, health system strengthening plans, policy frameworks, capacity-building programmes, research initiatives, and community health interventions. We help clients design evidence-based, inclusive, and sustainable solutions tailored to local and national priorities. What makes our services unique is our interdisciplinary and strategic approach, combining expertise in health, sustainability, policy, education, and institutional development. Our consultancy is delivered by world-class public health experts, academics, and practitioners with extensive international experience. This enables WASD and LISD to provide tailored, high-impact solutions that help organisations and governments build stronger, more resilient, and future-ready public health systems.
