This module provides an overview of the key knowledge and skills required to lead and manage healthcare organisations effectively and sustainably. It covers leadership theories and styles, strategic planning, organisational development, financial and human resource management, workforce planning, quality improvement, performance measurement and patient safety. The module also examines stakeholder engagement, interprofessional collaboration, governance, accountability, ethical decision-making, and effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with an emphasis on responsible resource use, long-term organisational sustainability and patient-centred healthcare.
